Topic description:

The presentation will cover the changes in approach to arbitration that are taking place in response to changing market conditions and technology.

Note: In 2014 LMAA Full Members received 3,582 new arbitration appointments and more than 584 awards were published by them.

CV:

President of the LMAA 2014-2017.
Studied law at Cambridge University and qualified as a barrister in England. Employed by a leading International Group P&I Club in 1979 and in charge of their Freight, Demurrage and Defence Club from 1980-88.
Subsequently ran his own consultancy practice while establishing a practice as an arbitrator from 1988 onwards.
He is a Panel member of the China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC), Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) and Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA).
Qualified Mediator.
Regular speaker and available for hearings in Asia Pacific region.
